You will find a few stables in Paris where you may buy various kinds of horses, from the plodding but gentle pony to the awe-inspiring, lightening-fast warhorse. Take heed that stable masters will not allow you to embarrass yourself by buying a horse that requires more riding skill than you possess. Horses, unfortunately, do die of old age so when your steed goes on to greener pastures, you will need to buy a new mount.
